If you’re interested in submitting an entry, please either respond to this journal entry or note me. By the same token if you know of any other members that might be interested in winning a one-year subscription for drawing a picture of a girl being saved by her seatbelt and airbag, feel free to spread the word. Also, I’ve reattached the rules to this update as well to provide a quicker reference. If you have any additional questions feel free to ask them. Thanks.

Contest: Draw a picture of a young woman (roughly college aged) wearing her seatbelt and being saved by her airbag after wrecking her car. Any and all drawing styles are welcome.

Rules:

-The picture must be created for this contest and cannot be a pre-existing work.

-The woman must be wearing both parts (i.e. the torso and lap parts) of her seatbelt

-The woman must be unharmed in the wreck
-Showing distress/minor injury is fine, but serious injury/death is not

-The woman should be touching the airbag in some manner
-Either hitting the airbag with her face/torso during the wreck or pushing the airbag away from her afterwards

Submission:

Either note me or respond to this post stating that you have created a drawing and I will then add it to the general pool on my profile page.

Prizes*:

1st Prize: One-year premium subscription to Deviant Art
2nd Prize: Three-month premium subscription to Deviant Art
3rd Prize: One-month premium subscription to Deviant Art

* Prizes will scale downwards, i.e. if only two deviants submit pictures only the second and third place prizes will be awarded.

Judging:

-I will select the top three pictures and then hold an open poll to determine the winner.

Closing/Voting Dates:

-The Submission Closing Time is 11:59 Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5) on December 1st
-My top three choices will be reveled no later than December 6th
-Voting will stop at 5:00 Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5) on December 13th.
-At that point I will award the top three prizes as determined by the voters.
